By | May 30, 2023

Whitney Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) is known all over the world as a singer with grandiose vocal abilities and no less large–scale scandals in her personal life. Let’s see how she looked in her youth and how she changed after.

Childhood and youth

Whitney Houston was born on August 9, 1963 in the USA. The fate of the future singer was developing successfully. It’s hard to go unnoticed when your mother is a professional singer who was lucky enough to work even with Elvis Presley. Whitney’s father was a prominent figure in the music business. Although he was mainly engaged in his wife’s career. It is this combination: a talented, bright wife and husband in the second roles. This is how Whitney saw the scheme of relations between a man and a woman in her childhood.

Whitney Houston’s career began very early. As a child, she sang in church. But her voice was too strong and beautiful for the choir, so she quickly got into the backing vocalist to her own mother, a fairly famous singer Cissy Houston. And after a while she sang solo herself.

Personal life

Whitney Houston, who started with a church choir and gave the world the most beautiful and heartfelt ballads about love, proved time and time again that she could also be a bad girl.

In 1989, Whitney Houston met Bobby Brown, and 3 years later the couple got married. The misalliance of the beauty Houston and the bully Brown shocked America in 1992. By that time, several of Whitney’s albums were selling millions of copies.

Bobby Brown was five years younger than Whitney Houston and always had the reputation of being a “bad guy.” Constant scandals with getting into prison, problems with alcohol and drugs, a huge number of one—time girlfriends – this was Bobby’s world before meeting Houston. And I must say that he did not change with the appearance of his wife and child (the fourth in a row, since he had three illegitimate children even before the wedding with the singer).

Periodically, rumors got into the press that Brown was beating his wife, chasing her with a knife and regularly brings his new girlfriends to their house. At the same time, both were on drugs and regularly had problems with the law because of this. During her marriage, Whitney had two miscarriages due to constant stress, and she lost her voice several times “due to a nervous spasm.”

Eight long years have passed in a drug frenzy. When the paparazzi managed to photograph Houston, you could see a creepy-looking old woman in the pictures. The star turned into a completely helpless, hysterical woman.

Bobby was treated for drug addiction and helped his wife cope with this terrible disease. Gone are those terrible moments in her life when, because of drugs, she was so thin that she resembled death. Are beatings, infidelities and drunken debauchery in the past?

After fourteen years of the most passionate and destructive marriage imaginable, the passions have subsided. Now Whitney couldn’t get rid of her husband. She felt bad with him, even worse without him. It’s hard to count how many times she filed for divorce, and each time they reconciled.

In 2007, the couple divorced, and Houston received custody of her daughter. Whitney found herself in rehabilitation clinics several times, trying to recover from drug addiction. The last attempt was made in the spring of 2011.

Plastic surgery

Whitney was naturally beautiful. God gave her not only surprisingly delicate facial features for a black woman, but also almond-shaped eyes and a slender body.

Whitney has never hidden that she puts a lot of effort into looking good. Her shoots for fashion magazines turned into a real show of stylists. She loved experimenting with makeup, haircuts and styling.

Like any woman, during the quarrels she tried to remake herself. The singer performed plastic surgery on her face every time immediately after filing for divorce.

Between 1998 and 2000, she underwent breast augmentation surgery. It seems that her implants were placed in the same place as Victoria Beckham. And with the same success! Or rather, just as bad. The breast shapes of the two singers were very similar.

The infamous star also did not pass by mammoplasty. It’s not surprising, because there were much more serious problems in Houston’s life than an updated breast, which looked too artificial.

Experts call Whitney Houston’s breasts one of the worst silicone busts in Hollywood. Another victim of plastic surgery, who put two implants-balls. There are also rumors that Whitney had liposuction to get rid of excess belly fat.

At the age of 45, not a single wrinkle was visible on Houston’s face. No mesh of wrinkles around the eyes, no wrinkles on the forehead, or even nasolabial folds, which appear in almost all women by her age. Experts say that it’s all about injections of Botox and fillers.

Whitney Houston underwent a medical examination two weeks before her death, as she planned to have a facelift. However, the doctor refused the singer an operation due to poor test results and the unsatisfactory state of her health.

Houston did have some health issues. From the long-term use of various drugs, in particular, cocaine, the nasal septum of the singer became “leaky”. This was reported by medical experts after examining Whitney’s body after her death.

Presumably, shortly before her death, Whitney Houston did a boob job. Liposuction of the hips and abdomen was also performed. This was evidenced by the scars all over her body.

Hair problems. About a year before her death, the singer wore a wig. No, she didn’t become bald, but there were definitely problems with her hair, so she cut it and hid it under a wig.

Cause of death

On February 11, 2012, Whitney Houston was found unconscious in a hotel bathroom. Unfortunately, Whitney could not be saved. According to the results of the investigation, it became known that the cause of death is heart problems and cocaine use.

Whitney Houston, the owner of an incredible voice and the favorite of millions of people, was only 48 years old. The singer’s death happened in a room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on the eve of the 54th Grammy Awards ceremony, in which Houston was supposed to participate.

By a strange coincidence, in 2015, Whitney’s daughter, Christina, fell into a coma after she was found in her own bathroom, where she was also unconscious. In July of the same year, the girl died.
